1. Who we are

Pawsicle (“we”, “us”) is a pet app for adoption listings, mating matches, clinic discovery and booking, in-app chat, and related features. This policy explains what we collect when you use the Pawsicle mobile app or pawsicle.app.

2. Information we collect

Depending on how you use Pawsicle, we may collect:

• Account: name, email, password (stored hashed), optional phone and address, and profile photo.
• Sign-in with Google or Apple: the name and email those providers share with us when you choose that option.
• Pets and listings: pet profiles, photos, adoption and mating listings, favorites, and related details you enter.
• Health: clinic browsing, appointment details, and health records you save in the app.
• Chat: messages and conversation metadata (for example who is in a thread tied to a listing, match, or clinic).
• Location: approximate or precise location if you allow it (for example address on Home or nearby clinics). You can refuse or later turn this off in device settings.
• Device: a push-notification token if you enable notifications, plus basic technical logs needed to keep the service running (for example error logs).
• Waitlist: email if you join the waitlist on this website.

3. How we use information

We use this information to:

• Create and secure your account
• Run adoption, matching, clinic, chat, and pet-profile features
• Send in-app or push notifications you have allowed
• Process pawrentship-transfer requests between users
• Diagnose bugs, prevent abuse, and improve Pawsicle
• Respond to support requests

We do not sell your personal information.

4. Sharing

Other Pawsicle users may see information you choose to make public (for example a listing, pet photo, or chat you send them).

We use service providers that process data on our behalf, including hosting (currently Hostinger), Google Firebase (authentication, cloud messaging, and related services), and Apple Sign In when you use it. They may process data in countries other than yours, subject to their own terms and safeguards.

We may disclose information if required by law, to protect users or Pawsicle, or as part of a merger or sale of the service (you would still be entitled to the protections in this policy or a successor policy).

5. Photos, camera, and notifications

Camera, photo library, location, and notification access are optional and requested only for features that need them. You can change these in your device settings. Denying a permission may disable that feature but you can still use the rest of the app.

6. Retention and your choices

We keep account and content data while your account is active and as needed for backups, legal, and security purposes. You can edit profile and pet information in the app. You can delete your account from Profile → Settings → Delete account. After deletion, we remove or anonymize personal data we no longer need, except where we must keep records (for example to resolve a dispute or comply with law).

7. Children

Pawsicle is not directed at children under 13 (or the equivalent minimum age in your country). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe we have, contact us and we will delete it.

8. Security

We use HTTPS, hashed passwords, and access controls on our servers. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure. Please use a strong unique password and keep your device locked.

9. Changes

We may update this policy. The “Last updated” date at the top will change. Continued use of Pawsicle after an update means you accept the revised policy. Material changes may also be noted in the app or by email if we have one on file.
